Deborah Lippmann Cleopatra in New York

"My dear Marc Antony, I'm just going to pop into Saks for a few little things..."

Cleopatra would have OWNED New York had she seen it. Her triumphant parade into Rome would have been NOTHING compared to her sashaying around New York's elite. Bergdorf Goodman and Tiffany's would open up the store for her specially, is what I'm saying here.

So a nail polish called "Cleopatra in New York" has to DELIVER, you dig? Can't cheap out on Cleopatra. She can and will haunt you from the grave. She's just that cool. Enter Deborah Lippmann...

This polish is perfect. Gold and lots of it. In a black sheer base that leads to wonderful layering. It is chic, expensive, extravagant and a touch gaudy. This is Cleopatra in New York!

Lots of pictures because I love it:

Look at that depth! Look at that gold!

My only quibble is that these types of polishes are horrible to get off. The base comes off but the glitter sticks like a beast to your nails. Definitely need to do the foil method for this one. But it's ok, since it's worth it :)
