Special edition time!
Holt Renfrew (similar to Saks? Bergdorf Goodman? The point is they sell All The Expensive Things) is 175 years old this year! They are having quite the shindig, with 175 products in their distinctive pink colour. Dresses, shoes, bags... all costing more than my monthly take-home, naturally. But I saw that they had Deborah Lipmann do a special edition nail colour so OF COURSE I had to go check it out, but its not like I have a problem or anything (I have a problem).
ANYWAY, once I saw it I had to own it. The picture I saw in the magazine made it look like a magenta creme, but its actually GLITTERY.
GLITTERY!
Take a look:
I tried to capture the GLITTER but I couldn't quite grasp it. The formula is thick, and it is a glitter effect versus shimmer, so it eats top coat. This is with two coats of Seche Vite.
It is a lovely magenta colour, with an adorable pink glitter. I may not be able to afford the $625 pink Ferragamo flats but I can pick up a cute bottle of nail polish and feel part of the celebration.
Congrats Holts!

Essie Penny Talk
Ooooo copper foil!
This is part of the Essie Mirror Metallics collection. There rest of the collection is your standard gold, silver, blue etc. but this copper colour stood out to me. How often do you see this lovely metallic?
Alas, there are some noticeable brush strokes, but the colour! The colour! Perfecto!
Cheers!

Bikini So Teeny!
Hello all!
A quick NOTD for your: Essie's Bikini so Teeny, the star of their Summer 2012 collection. It is a lovely bright cornflower blue with a very subtle shimmer. So subtle, I couldn't really capture it on my camera. I might have had a bit of a Rage Moment trying to do just that. Still lovely!

It seems to be a bit patchy in the pictures, but it looked quite nice in real life. Perfect for summer!

Lillibet's Jubilee
This is adorable. Butter London created a special polish for Queen Elizabeth II's 60th anniversary. How cute is that? Its called 'Lillibet's Jubilee' after the Queen's childhood nickname. Love it! It is a quite pretty lavendar foil. It has a good consistency and the brush marks are not too problematic, see?
*Sigh* So pretty.

Orly Skinny Dip and OPI Divine Swine
Morning (er, Afternoon!)
Summer summer summer! Time for neons! A nice blue neon, like this Orly Skinny Dip, part of their 2012 summer collection "Feel the Vibe." And I have felt the vibe! It felt funny. But resulted in an excellent bright blue neon!
Skinny Dip - this is two coats, and could have used another as you can see by the bald spots :( Otherwise, it is excellent consistency. This dries in the typical neon fashion: rubbery matte.
Did I ever tell you how much I love glitter gradients? BECAUSE I LOVE GLITTER GRADIENTS. They are a cinch for me to do (eventually I'll get a feel for the other kind for regular polish and a makeup sponge) so I tend to do them a lot when I need a little something-something for my mani.
Enter: OPI Divine Swine from their Muppet collection (which is full of happy glitters!). I did a 'reverse' gradient, from the nail bed rather than the tip. I'm a rebel, dontcha know.
Wheeeee! I loved how this turned out. Makes me happy :)
What combos make you happy?

Zoya Wednesday and Zoya Zuza
Hello all!
Today I have two more additions from the Zoya Beach and Surf Collection!
Wednesday is a delightfully murky mint. When I saw it, I had to have it!
Zuza is Wednesday's "Companion" - its shimmery counterpart. Now Zuza you almost have to see in real life to believe. It is devastating, almost like a lighter version of Zoya Charla/OPI Catch Me in Your Net.Take a look:
LOVED this. Loved both, actually. I am SUPER impressed with the Beach and Surf Collection. I have a feeling I will be buying the whole collection at some point.
Cheers!

Nubar Blueberry and Konad m57
This Konad plate, m57, is super popular. And I totally understand why: Zebra? Fishnet? Leopard? SIGN ME UP. But it also has a really cute side design of flowers. Which I totally used on top of Nubar Blueberry, an adorable jelly from their Jellybeans (!) collection.
See how cute?
I used Konad white, silver, light blue and purple pearl. Isn't it too cute? Blueberry applied well, good formula. This is three coats.
Cheers!
