It is that most delightful time of the year! When Toronto ceases to be such a barren wasteland of dooooooom and the sun comes back to remind us of how awesome it is. Did you know the sun actually imparts heat?? Somehow, I forget this every winter. Also, it's Easter and that means delicious, delicious Easter food!
But first, fancy nails are needed!
For this weekend's Easter festivities, I did egg designs on one hand:
Ugh, so cute! I used:
OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls for the base
Pinky: OPI Can't Find My Czechbook blue, and Nicole by OPI Naturally Pink
Ring: OPI Can't Find my Czechbook blue and Julep Simone purple
Middle: Julep Simone purple and Zoya Neely green
Index: Zoya Neely green and Julep Teri orange
Thumb: Julep Teri orange and Zoya Piaf yellow
I decided to do something a little different for my other hand, and did a swirly-watercolour design.
I used the same colours as the other hand. I put big drops of colour on the nail, then used a small brush to swirl it around. Totally reminds me of a watercolour painting!
I really like how these turned out! Very Spring-y!

Deborah Lipppmann Sampler
Today I have a few Deborah Lipmann colours for y'all: Mermaid's Dream, Today Was a Fairytale and Yellow Brick Road.
Deborah Lippmann Mermaid's Dream: Pretty pretty pretty pretty. Teal foil goodness with blue glitter. Squee.
Deborah Lippmann Today was a Fairytale: Silver multi-size and types of dark silver glitter. I love the look of this. I really feel the name fits: this is exactly what fairy godmothers wear in stories!
Deborah Lippmann Yellow Brick Road: *Sigh* I really don't like this. Three coats and it looks like my nails are grossly yellow-stained. I knicked my ring finger on something and I didn't bother re-doing it. When I got this I thought it was a yellow creme but it was a lie. A lie! I don't think I will ever wear this one again.

Colour Mishmash!
I have done swatches of quite a few of my existing colours so I thought I'd do a bit of a mishmash collection! Yes, it's for (remember to say it in a booming voice)
First up:
A England King Arthur - from A England's first collection based on the King Arthur legends. Straight up: I have loved everything A England has released that I own. Take from that what you will
A England Princess Sabra - Khaki holo. 'Nuff said.
China Glaze Champagne Bubbles - hopefully you can see the delightful little hints of glitter (just like champagne bubbles... WAIT. I JUST GOT THE NAME). Sheer, but buildable. I like it.
Color Club Power Play - as a Canadian, it KILLS me not to put that 'u' in Color. Colour colour colour colour. Ahem. Bright pink neon, dries matte/rubbery. This polish is 4 years old, I think, and its still working it! Good for Color Club.
Color Club Volt - nice bright blue. Although 2 coats still gives VPL. Still like it, though.
Personal anecdote time:I got these two Color Club colours when I was on vacation in Mexico. Friend and I took the bus into Puerto Vallarta for my first and only Sally Beauty Supply visit. I had to go to Mexico for Sally Beauty. In theory, they exist in Canada but I have not seen one in my travels nor sought one out specifically. Trade Secrets and Nail Polish Canada get all my money!
