A England Jane Eyre

Oh be still, my heart. A-England, you minx: you have stolen my love again.

This is Jane Eyre, from the magical Gothic Beauties collection. Deep deep blackened ruby. *Sigh*

A-England might as well drop the mic and strut off-stage.

Without further ado...

Aww, there should be a way to show the inner glow...

Bazinga! You can see that glow.

And because I always go one more step...
Here is a small design. Not really a design, just as accent. It is done with Flower Girl from Sinful Colours. I found it in a Walgreens on one of my visits to the States. I think I picked this up in San Francisco. It's technically a 'nail art' bottle, so it has the super-skinny brush.

Reader, I married it.

Bond... James Bond

No, I don't have the full OPI Bond Skyfall collection swatched yet. But I did do a quick manicure before I went to work today with two of the colours.*

*Quick manicures before work not recommended. How did I not get polish everywhere???

Today I have Skyfall, a lovely deep dried-blood colour. It's dark and dangerous and sexy... perfect for Bond. I think the Bond Girl wears this colour in the movie, so it fits!

Now, I coudn't just leave it the way it is. I desperately wanted to try the special polish Man With The Golden Gun, an 18K gold flakie topcoat! How amazeballs is that?? Totes amazeballs, that's what.

LOOK AT THAT SEXY BOTTLE.

I love this combo. Deep red and gold? Perfect for this crisp autumn day.

Cheers!

Blue Lagoon Nails

Blue Lagoon nails? What is this, another new oh-so-trendy, oh-so-rare indie label?

Nah, just one of my favourite nail art ideas!

Surprisingly simple, astonishingly adaptable and splendidly striking! (That sentence took a surprisingly long time to make. My English teachers would be so disappointed in me!)

It takes a dotter tool (or a toothpick), and 4-ish colours.

I used:

OPI Catch Me In Your Net for the the base (I love this colour with a passion that cannot fully be expressed in any known language. I think Klingon would have a good one, though. Maybe I'll go asking the Internet...)

OPI Teal the Cows Come Home, Fly and Yoga-tta Get this Blue for the dots.

If you have some nice blues, dark greens, teals, aquas, etc you can do this manicure.

*BONUS* This manicure is OPI Suzi-Approved!

I *love love love* this. Simple, but amazingly effective. I think I might try this in other colours, too...

Cheers!

Blogger Dinner! IT'S SUZI! OPI SUZI!

OMG OPI SUZI.

Yes, THAT Suzi. Of Suzi Skis the Pyrenees. Suzi is a Chocoholic. Suzi and the Seven Dusseldorfs.

Let me explain. Last night I went to a fabulous dinner hosted by Langton Communications. It was full of Toronto-area beauty bloggers and Madame Suzi herself from OPI, Nicole by OPI and Sephora by OPI.

We chatted for hours and hours about the nail industry, our favourite colours and collections, and everything that it joyful. I'm so happy I went! She even liked my manicure (coming up!).

Look at us!

She was such a delight and listened to our crazily passionate talks about nail polish and how we all love it so, so much (and the crazy lengths we go to get the nust-have colour).

Bonus: Got the Nicole by OPI Selena Gomez Spring Collection. *Spoiler* It's gorgeous!

ETA: Forgot to put a pic of the collection!

Color Club Sparkle and Soar

I just got back from a lovely vacation to Washington DC. Soooo many museums and monuments. SO MUCH KNOWLEDGE CRAMMED INTO MY BRAIN.

Anyhoo, here is Color Club's Sparkle and Soar from their Take Wing collection. This was a collection of glorious glass flecks. Lurrrve them. Sparkle and Soar is a lovely bright orange that camera could not capture properly if its life depended on it. I'm not mad. *Sigh* I need a new camera.

BACK TO THE POLISH. The formula was decent, but sheer. I'm wearing two coats here and it could definitely use another one. Maybe two. But look! It's so cheerful!

One good shot, rest cruddy. Ugh. Still, it's a gorgeous colour. Try it out!

Cheers!
